Lakadong Turmeric & Saffron Latte
25 servings
An ancient Ayurvedic ritual cherished for centuries that makes you glow inside out with inner bliss. Our authentic blend combines the finest high-curcumin Lakadong Turmeric with precious Saffron and balancing warm spices (black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger).*
Mt. Meru Golden Milk begins with Lakadong turmeric from the highlands of Meghalaya, naturally rich in curcumin (8–12%) and valued for its depth and vitality.
To this foundation, we add precious saffron — one of the world’s most treasured spices, long revered in Ayurvedic traditions for its mood uplifting and harmonizing qualities. Its subtle floral warmth brings both radiance and balance to the blend.
We then layer in traditional warming spices — black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom — chosen not only for their individual properties, but for how they work in harmony together.
Each ingredient supports the whole, creating a balanced, aromatic latte inspired by centuries of Ayurvedic ritual.
No extracts.
No artificial flavors.
Just whole botanicals.
This is golden milk as it has always been prepared — an ancient ritual that nourishes warmth, steadiness, and inner glow.
Golden Milk supports Anāhata — the Heart Chakra — symbolizing warmth, balance, and inner harmony as the body softens into rest.
Lakadong Turmeric (Curcuma longa) Rhizome
A rare turmeric variety from Meghalaya, India containing 8–12% naturally occurring curcumin. Traditionally used in Ayurveda to support a healthy inflammatory response, digestion, and overall vitality.
Saffron (Crocus sativus) Stigmas
One of the world’s most treasured spices, traditionally valued for its uplifting and harmonizing qualities. Rich in antioxidant compounds such as crocin and safranal that support emotional balance and overall well-being.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) Rhizome
A warming root long used in Ayurvedic tradition to support digestion, circulation, and metabolic balance while helping awaken the body’s inner fire.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) Bark
A fragrant warming spice traditionally used to support digestion and help maintain balanced blood sugar metabolism.
Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) Seed
A soothing aromatic spice used in Ayurveda to support digestive comfort while balancing the warmth of other spices.
Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) Fruit
Provides naturally occurring piperine, traditionally used to enhance the absorption and bioavailability of turmeric’s beneficial compounds.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is among the most widely studied herbs in the world — with thousands of published papers exploring curcumin and its properties. But curcumin doesn't work in isolation. Alpha-turmerone and other naturally occurring compounds in the whole rhizome interact with curcumin as part of turmeric’s complex phytochemical matrix — contributing to its traditional breadth of use and support for a healthy inflammatory response.
This is why Ayurveda traditionally used turmeric as a whole herb, recognizing that its compounds work together in ways isolation cannot fully replicate. Each serving delivers 55 mg of naturally occurring curcuminoids within the complete botanical matrix of whole Lakadong turmeric.
Saffron (Crocus sativus) contains naturally occurring compounds such as crocin and safranal, which have been studied for their antioxidant properties and their role in supporting mood balance and emotional well-being.
Clinical research continues to explore saffron’s effects on emotional resilience, sleep quality, and overall vitality, echoing its long-standing use in traditional systems of medicine.
Black pepper provides naturally occurring piperine, traditionally used to support absorption. Ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom contribute their own phytochemicals, creating a complex blend that reflects how these herbs have long been combined in Ayurvedic practice.
5,000 years of tradition. Now backed by research.
From the Highlands of Meghalaya
Lakadong turmeric is grown in the highlands of Meghalaya, India — where altitude, rainfall, and mineral-rich soil contribute to its naturally high curcumin content (8-12%), far above typical varieties.
We partner directly with tribal farming communities who cultivate using regenerative practices that honor both the land and the generations who have stewarded it. Each harvest is gathered by hand at peak maturity and naturally sun-dried to preserve its Prāṇa-rich essence.
Our saffron is sourced from a small family farm in Chelan, Washington, where saffron crocus flowers thrive in mineral-rich soil, clean mountain water, and cold winters that strengthen the bulbs. The result is vibrant saffron threads prized for their deep color, rich aroma, and exceptional purity, representing some of the finest saffron produced anywhere.
Blended in small batches with warming spices, Golden Milk brings together two regions, two traditions, and one shared philosophy of reverence for the source.
Golden Milk is not a trend. It is a tradition poured into a cup.
